There are so many polymer compounds that are used as accelerators, one of which is rubber accelerators. Accelerators are defined as chemicals that are added to rubber compounds to increase the vulcanization speed and allow vulcanization to continue at lower temperatures and with greater efficiency.

    • Accelerator also reduces the amount of Sulfur needed for vulcanization and thus increases the 'age' properties of rubber vulcanizates. Accelerators are also classified as Main and / or Secondary accelerators based on the roles they play in given compounds.
